Campgrounds and RV parks near Epworth, GA

Epworth sits in Fannin County in the north Georgia mountains, just south of the Tennessee state line and within easy reach of the Chattahoochee National Forest and the Cohutta Wilderness. The surrounding public lands, managed by the Blue Ridge and Conasauga Ranger Districts of the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest, put a large slice of the southern Appalachians within an hour of town. RV travelers use the area as a base for the Toccoa River, the Ocoee whitewater corridor across the Tennessee line, and the small mountain town of Blue Ridge about ten minutes south. Private RV parks handle most full-hookup demand. Blue Ridge / Toccoa River KOA Holiday sits along the Toccoa River and offers pull-through sites near Epworth. Persimmon Creek Campground and Persimmon Creek RV Park serve travelers looking for creekside spots, while Foxfire of Murphy RV Park lies just across the North Carolina line near Murphy. GA RV Lot is another local option close to town. Backcountry campers turn to the Cohutta Wilderness for dispersed and primitive sites, with developed Forest Service campgrounds on the Conasauga Ranger District serving as a middle option between full-hookup parks and remote tent camping.
