Campgrounds and RV parks near Country Squire Lakes, IN

Country Squire Lakes is an unincorporated community in Jennings County, southeastern Indiana, built around a reservoir on Six Mile Creek and several smaller lakes. State Road 7 runs along the northeast edge of the community, connecting southeast to North Vernon in about three miles and northwest to Columbus in roughly eighteen miles. That location puts RV travelers within easy reach of multiple Indiana Department of Natural Resources properties and a mix of private campgrounds. Within a short drive, renters can base out of CERA Sports Park & Campground or Weary Traveler for private-park amenities, or head south to state-managed sites at Wooser - Hardy Lake State Park, which includes the larger Shale Bluff Campground and the smaller Wooster primitive area, and Clifty Falls State Park. Hidden Paradise Campground rounds out the nearby options for families looking for a more traditional resort feel. The area sits inside what regional tourism refers to as the Golden Triangle of southeast Indiana, with Louisville, Indianapolis, and Cincinnati all within a reasonable drive. That makes it a practical hub for a multi-stop RV itinerary rather than a single-park destination.

State park sites are reserved through the Indiana DNR system up to 6 months in advance, beginning at 12 noon on that day, either online or by calling 1-866-622-6746. A non-refundable transaction fee is charged for each new advance reservation made online or by phone. This applies to both Clifty Falls State Park and Hardy Lake. All campsites at Clifty Falls are now reservable, and while first-come, first-served stays are possible, availability cannot be counted on, especially during summer. Private options such as CERA Sports Park & Campground, Weary Traveler, and Hidden Paradise Campground are booked directly with the operator and can be worth a call for last-minute weekends when state sites are full.
