The property is divided into a West Campground and an East Campground, with the East Campground (also known as God's Country Mountain View Campground) sitting high above the Soda Lake Wildlife Management Area. Country Haven RV Park and C & J RV Park round out the private options closer to Shreveport, while Caddo Lake State Park sits across the state line near Karnack, Texas, with a boat ramp, fishing access, and paddling trails through the bald cypress bayous.

Private parks in the area take reservations directly. Internet reservations are not available for the Shreveport North / Caddo Lake Area KOA, so guests need to call the campground at 318-309-4322 to book, and long-term or monthly sites are only available by phone. Country Haven RV Park and C & J RV Park also handle bookings by phone. For Caddo Lake State Park, reservations run through the Texas Parks and Wildlife system on the ReserveAmerica platform. Sites and cabins can be reserved for today and up to five months in advance, and popular weekends fill quickly, so lock in dates as early as possible. Late arrivals should call the park or the TPWD Customer Service Center to stay on the late-arrival list; the park has no entrance gate, and after-hours arrivals must register at the office the following morning.
