Montana City sits just south of Helena in Jefferson County, within easy reach of the Missouri River reservoir chain and the surrounding Helena-Lewis and Clark National Forest. RV travelers use it as a quiet base between two of the state's biggest draws: Helena lies roughly halfway between Glacier National Park to the north and Yellowstone National Park to the south, making the area a natural overnight or multi-day stop.
