Campgrounds and RV parks near Pender, NE

Pender sits in Thurston County in northeast Nebraska, roughly halfway between the Missouri River bluffs to the east and the Elkhorn River valley to the south. Cabins and lodge rooms at Ponca can be booked up to a year ahead. Camping at Dead Timber SRA is entirely first-come, first-served, with campers registering nightly fees at a locked self-pay box called an Iron Ranger that accepts cash or checks.
