Campgrounds and RV parks near Colebrook, NH

Colebrook sits in Coos County at the northern tip of New Hampshire, in the Great North Woods region where the Connecticut River winds south from the Canadian border. The town serves as a supply stop and staging point for RV travelers heading into the remote Connecticut Lakes country, Dixville Notch, and the surrounding public forests. Grocery, fuel, and hardware are available in town, which matters because services thin out quickly to the north and east. Campground options near Colebrook range from full-hookup private parks to a state-run campground on a small pond. Notch View Country Inn and RV Resort and Big Rock Campground and Cabins sit close to the road network, while Ladd Pond Cabins And Campground and Camp North offer quieter, wooded settings a short drive out of town. Coleman State Park, twelve miles east in Stewartstown, adds a rustic option on Little Diamond Pond. Most sites cater to families, anglers, and off-road riders using the region's ATV and snowmobile trail system.

Coleman State Park is reserved through the New Hampshire State Parks system on ReserveAmerica. The standard maximum reservation window for NH state campgrounds is 11 months in advance, with sites opening at 8 a.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. on weekends. The Lodges at Coleman State Park use a 12-month window on the same release schedule. Sites at the campground have no hookups, cell service is limited, and a dump station is available on site for registered campers. Private parks such as Notch View Country Inn and RV Resort, Ladd Pond Cabins And Campground, Camp North, and Big Rock Campground and Cabins take reservations directly by phone or through their own websites. Summer holiday weekends and the Moose Festival weekend should be booked several months out.
