Hampton Beach State Park RV Camp is reserved through the New Hampshire State Parks ReserveAmerica system. The campground has 29 sites and books up fast, so the state runs an annual lottery for the following year's peak dates. Outside the lottery, reservations can be made for today and can be made up to 12 months in advance.
Private campgrounds like Tidewater Campground, Sea Coast Camping and RV Resort, Beach Rose RV Park, and Black Bear Campground take bookings directly through their own websites or by phone. Summer weekends and holiday weeks often require multi-night minimums.
For the state park, note that only self-contained RVs are allowed. Tents and Pop-ups are NOT allowed. No restroom or shower facilities are available at the campground. Hampton Beach and Ellacoya RV parks shall have a maximum camping duration of 14 consecutive or accumulative days from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend for any person or camping vehicle. Extensions of camping permits at Hampton Beach and Ellacoya RV parks shall not be permitted.
What to expect on-site
The state park RV camp is a paved, parking-lot-style layout with sites close together and direct beach access over the dunes. Campers must hook up to all 3 services (water, sewer and electric). There is a park store in the day-use area, but no restrooms or showers inside the campground itself, so a self-contained rig is required.
This is a NON pet campground except between Sept 14 and October 31 only. Anyone entering with a pet during not allowed time will be asked to leave. Visitors may camp with their pets from 9/14 through 10/31. Park is carry in carry out, you must take all your trash home with you. Music must be kept at low volume. The beach and picnic area are smoke free. Glass bottles are prohibited. No charcoal grills allowed.
