Campgrounds and RV parks near Seabrook Beach, NH

Seabrook Beach sits on the New Hampshire seacoast just north of the Massachusetts line, with the Hampton River mouth to the north and Salisbury Beach to the south. RV renters use it as a base for oceanfront camping without straying far from I-95, Route 1, and Route 1A. Boston is roughly an hour south, Portsmouth is a short drive north, and southern Maine is easily reachable for day trips. Campground options split between public parks and private RV parks. Hampton Beach State Park RV Camp is the only RV park directly on the New Hampshire coast, at the mouth of the Hampton River, located south of the main part of Hampton Beach on Route 1A at the Seabrook-Hampton town line. Salisbury Beach State Reservation, just across the state line in Massachusetts, is a large oceanfront campground at the mouth of the Merrimack River, managed by the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation. Tidewater Campground and Rusnik Campground are private options set slightly inland off Route 1, and Beach Rose RV Park is a small private park in the Salisbury area. Most sites in the immediate area are geared toward RVs, with full or partial hookups. Tent camping is limited on the coast itself, so RV renters have more choice than traditional campers.

New Hampshire State Parks has partnered with ReserveAmerica to offer its reservation service, which handles Hampton Beach State Park RV Camp. Reservations can be made for today and up to 12 months in advance, plus a separate lottery application period for the following summer. Campers must hook up to all three services (water, sewer, and electric), and rigs that cannot meet this requirement will be asked to leave; tents and pop-ups are not allowed. This is a non-pet campground except between September 14 and October 31. Salisbury Beach State Reservation books through ReserveAmerica under Massachusetts DCR, with a reservation window of up to four months before arrival. Walk-in registrations are not permitted, but same-day reservations can be made up until 2 pm on the date of arrival. A two-night minimum applies for much of the season. Private parks such as Beach Rose RV Park, Tidewater Campground, and Rusnik Campground take reservations directly through their own websites or by phone. Book peak-summer weekends well in advance.
