Sites at Allegany State Park, including Cain Hollow and Red Oak Campground, are reserved through the New York State Parks portal on ReserveAmerica or by phone through the ReserveAmerica Call Center. Camping reservations can be made up to nine months in advance, with sites opening at 8 a.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. weekends during the March 15 to Labor Day release window, and 9 a.m. daily the rest of the year. Same-day reservations are permitted until 3 p.m. on the day of arrival for campsites only, and walk-ins are accepted at campsites but not at cabins or cottages. Pope Haven Campground and Onoville Marina Park handle their own bookings directly through their websites and offices. For summer weekends and holidays, reserve well in advance, since waterfront and full hook-up sites tend to fill first.
