Campgrounds and RV parks near North Granville, NY

North Granville sits in Washington County on the New York and Vermont border, in the rolling hills between the Adirondacks and the Green Mountains. Campers based here have access to a mix of private RV resorts on the New York side and Vermont state park campgrounds a short drive east across the state line. Closest to town, Granite Hill Lodge & Campground offers a small-scale base for exploring the region. To the west and south, Moose Hillock Camping Resort-NY runs a large amenity-heavy operation off Route 149 in Fort Ann. The resort sits within New York's Adirondack Park, less than 10 miles from Lake George, and offers spacious sites with full hookups including water, sewer, cable TV, and 20, 30, and 50 amp electrical service. Across the border in Vermont, Lake St Catherine State Park, Bomoseen State Park, and Half Moon Pond State Park cluster around the Taconic Mountains and the Slate Valley. Bomoseen covers roughly 3,500 acres along the shores of Lake Bomoseen, the largest lake located entirely within Vermont. Together these parks give RV travelers full-hookup resort camping on the New York side and rustic waterfront state park sites on the Vermont side.

Vermont state parks use a single central reservation system. Camping reservations can be made up to 11 months in advance on a rolling basis, and same-day reservations are accepted until 2 pm on the day of arrival. Bookings can be made online through the Vermont State Parks reservation site, by calling the Reservation Call Center at 1-888-409-7579 Monday through Friday from 9 am to 4 pm, or by contacting the park directly. The same system covers Lake St Catherine State Park, Bomoseen State Park, and Half Moon Pond State Park. Expect a two-night minimum on advance summer bookings. Reservations made more than 7 days in advance require a two-night minimum, and one-night stays are allowed within 7 days of arrival, any day of the week. Private campgrounds book directly. Moose Hillock Camping Resort-NY and Granite Hill Lodge & Campground take reservations through their own websites and phone lines, and Moose Hillock enforces multi-night minimums on peak summer weekends, so plan holiday stays early.
