Allegany State Park - Cain Hollow typically opens in mid-May and closes in early November, though a limited number of sites at the wider park operate year round for winter cabin users. September brings quieter weekdays, comfortable daytime temperatures, and strong fall color through October. Winter closes most RV amenities: water systems are shut down, dump stations locked, and access roads may not be plowed to camping loops.
