Campgrounds near Victory, New York
Victory is a small village in Saratoga County, in the town of Saratoga, roughly ten miles east of Saratoga Springs and directly adjacent to Schuylerville. The Saratoga Monument, one of three units of Saratoga National Historical Park, sits within the village, which places RV travelers close to Revolutionary War history, the Hudson River corridor, and the southern approach to the Adirondacks.
Campgrounds within a short drive cover a full range of styles. Saratoga RV Park and Coldbrook RV Resorts serve travelers who want full hookups and paved sites near the Saratoga Springs area. Sun Retreats Adirondack Gateway and Adventure Bound Deer Run add resort-style amenities aimed at families, including pools and organized activities.
For a more traditional public-park experience, Moreau Lake State Park lies about ten miles north of Saratoga Springs and offers wooded, non-hookup sites around a swimming lake. That mix of private RV resorts and a large state park gives travelers flexibility on price point, hookup needs, and how remote a base camp they want.
Things to do near Victory
History drives much of the local sightseeing. The Saratoga Battlefield unit sits south in Stillwater, the Schuyler House sits in Schuylerville, and the Saratoga Monument stands in Victory itself, giving families three connected national park stops within a short drive. Victory Woods, a short interpretive loop, preserves ground linked to the 1777 British encampment.
Outdoor options widen quickly. Moreau Lake features a sandy swimming beach with lifeguards during summer months, and over 40 miles of trails wind through the surrounding forest, open to hiking, mountain biking, and cross-country skiing depending on season. Downtown Saratoga Springs adds the racecourse, Saratoga Spa State Park, mineral springs, and SPAC concerts. Lake George is roughly a half-hour drive north for boat cruises, arcades, and the Great Escape amusement park.

What to expect
Sites near Victory split cleanly into two categories. Private RV resorts like Saratoga RV Park and Coldbrook RV Resorts offer full hookups, pull-through sites, Wi-Fi, and family amenities such as pools and playgrounds. Moreau Lake State Park is the opposite profile: all camping loops have 24-hour access to comfort stations with hot showers, each campsite includes a picnic table and fire ring, and a dump station serves RV campers, though no electric or water hookups are available at standard sites.
Roads in and out of Victory are rural two-lane routes, and the village itself is compact. Expect quiet nights, black bear country precautions at wooded sites, and a short drive to grocery stores and restaurants in Schuylerville or Saratoga Springs. Cell service is generally solid near the Northway corridor and spottier in state park interiors.
