Campgrounds and RV parks near Castle Hayne, NC

Beaches drive most trips here. Wrightsville Beach is minutes east for swimming, surfing, and paddleboarding, and Carolina Beach and Kure Beach sit a short drive south on Pleasure Island. Carolina Beach State Park is home to the Venus flytrap and is known for habitats like the 50-foot Sugarloaf Dune, which once served as a navigational marker for river pilots, plus three limesink ponds. Its marina provides access to the Cape Fear River and the Intracoastal Waterway, making the area popular for boaters and anglers. Families can pair beach days with downtown Wilmington's Riverwalk, the Battleship North Carolina, and the NC Aquarium at Fort Fisher for a solid rainy-day backup for kids traveling by RV.
