Campgrounds and RV parks near Green Level, NC

Green Level is a small town in Alamance County, North Carolina, in the eastern portion of the county within the Burlington metropolitan area and the broader Piedmont Triad region. It sits between the Triad and the Research Triangle, giving RV travelers easy interstate access via I-85/I-40 and short drives to Burlington, Greensboro, Chapel Hill, and Durham. The area around Green Level is rural Piedmont country: rolling wooded hills, farmland, and small creeks feeding the Haw River. Private RV parks handle most overnight RV traffic near the town, since the closest state park, Haw River State Park north of Greensboro, centers on a residential education facility and does not offer traditional drive-in campsites. Cane Creek Campground and RV Park sits on 80 wooded acres near Snow Camp, roughly a dozen miles south of the I-85/40 corridor, offering full hookups, water-and-electric sites, and primitive tent sites. Wishing Well RV Park and Jones Station RV Park and Campground are also close in, and Spring Hill Park expands the options for travelers willing to drive a bit farther.

Private RV parks in the area, including Cane Creek Campground and RV Park, Wishing Well RV Park, Jones Station RV Park and Campground, and Spring Hill Park, take reservations directly by phone or through their own websites. Cane Creek is reached at its Longest Acre Road office in Snow Camp, and KOA-branded locations also book through the KOA website and app. For North Carolina state park facilities such as those at Haw River State Park, bookings go through the ReserveAmerica system used by NC State Parks. Haw River is group-focused and does not have individual drive-in RV sites, so RV travelers typically use a private park in the area and day-trip into the state park. Book summer weekends, holiday weeks, and any UNC or Elon University event weekends well in advance. Mid-week arrivals in spring and fall are usually easier to secure.
