Saxapahaw is a small mill village in Alamance County, North Carolina, set along the Haw River in the central Piedmont between Greensboro and the Research Triangle. Its position between I-40/I-85 and rural farmland makes it a practical base for RV travellers exploring the region. Most RV-friendly campgrounds sit a short drive from the village rather than inside it. Wishing Well RV Park and Spring Hill Park round out the local options toward Chapel Hill. Expect quiet, wooded sites with easy access to the Haw River Trail, small-town restaurants, and day-trip drives into Chapel Hill, Durham, and Greensboro.

The campgrounds near Saxapahaw are privately owned and each handles its own bookings. Reserve directly by phone or through the operator's website. For tent or paddle-in camping at county-run sites, the Alamance County park system uses a separate process. Reservations can be made in advance online through the county's booking system, or by calling the park office. Confirm rig-length limits, hookup type, and pet rules when you book, since site sizes and amenities vary between parks.
