Campgrounds and RV parks near Taylortown, NC

Taylortown sits in Moore County, North Carolina, adjacent to Pinehurst in the Sandhills region. RV renters use it as a base for the Pinehurst and Southern Pines golf corridor, the longleaf pine forests of Weymouth Woods, and the Uwharrie backcountry to the west. The town itself is small, so most camping options are spread across the surrounding Sandhills, from Jackson Springs and West End to Aberdeen and Asheboro. Sycamore Lodge Resort, in Jackson Springs, sits on 194 acres of wooded land in the Sandhills of North Carolina and is the largest full-service RV property in the immediate area, with cabins and RV sites with full hookups. Farm Pond Campground and Daily Walk Stables and Campground offer smaller, quieter alternatives closer to the Pinehurst core. For renters wanting a rural farm-stay feel, Idlewild Farm Stays provides a lower-key setting, while Zooland Family Campground positions travelers near the North Carolina Zoo in Asheboro, about an hour north. Together these options cover the range most families need: resort, rustic, equestrian, and zoo-adjacent.

Private RV parks in the Taylortown area take reservations directly by phone or through their websites, and through third-party platforms. Sycamore Lodge Resort is part of the Travel Resorts family and accepts both member and non-member stays; call ahead if traveling during a golf tournament week, when the property books out early. Smaller campgrounds such as Farm Pond Campground, Daily Walk Stables and Campground, and Idlewild Farm Stays typically confirm by phone or through Hipcamp-style listings. Ask about rig length limits, hookup type, and pet rules at booking, since farm-stay sites vary widely. For public land, North Carolina state parks reservations are processed through ReserveAmerica, and reservations must be made 1 day ahead of arrival and can be made up to 6 months in advance.
