For lake access and family amenities, Norwood Campground on Lake Tillery adds pool, playground, and boat-slip access within about an hour's drive north.

Reservation systems vary by campground type. Andrew Jackson State Park is booked through the South Carolina State Parks reservation system online or by calling 1-866-345-PARK, with sites available up to 13 months in advance and a two-night minimum stay. Reservations requested less than one day before check-in must be made directly through the park. Private parks such as Norwood Campground, Yates Family Camping, Elmore RV Park and Campground, and Ver-El RV Park and Campground take reservations directly through their own websites or by phone. Cancellation policies differ by operator, so confirm terms at the time of booking. For summer weekends and holidays, book several weeks ahead to secure full-hookup pull-through sites that fit larger rentals.
