Campgrounds and RV parks near Berlin Heights, OH

Berlin Heights sits in Erie County in north-central Ohio, roughly ten miles south of Lake Erie and about the same distance from Sandusky. The village is a practical base for RV travelers heading to the Lake Erie shoreline, the Sandusky Bay attractions, and the farmland corridor between Norwalk and Huron. Most campers use it as a quieter alternative to staying directly beside the amusement-park traffic in Sandusky. Private RV parks dominate the immediate area. Huron River Valley Campground and Marina and Riverview RV Park and Marina both sit along the Huron River with water access, while Sandusky Milan RV Park and Timber Ridge Campground offer inland sites geared to families visiting Cedar Point. Sandusky/Bayshore KOA Holiday, on the west side of Sandusky Bay, provides a full-service KOA layout with cabins, RV pads, and tent sites. Cedar Point in Sandusky is the region's largest single draw, and campground demand in Berlin Heights rises and falls with its operating calendar.

Private parks including Huron River Valley Campground and Marina, Sandusky Milan RV Park, Timber Ridge Campground, Riverview RV Park and Marina, and Sandusky/Bayshore KOA Holiday take reservations directly through their websites or by phone, with Sandusky/Bayshore KOA Holiday also bookable through the KOA reservation system. Summer weekends and Cedar Point event dates should be booked several months out. For Ohio state park campgrounds in the wider region, reservations are handled through the state system at reserveohio.com, and campsite reservations open up to six months prior to the arrival date. Walk-in and self-registration campsites are not available at Ohio state parks, so a reservation is required before arrival. The reservation call center number is 866-644-6727.
