Campgrounds and RV parks near Monroeville, OH

Monroeville sits in Huron County in north-central Ohio, roughly 15 miles south of Sandusky and Lake Erie. The village is a practical base for RV travelers heading to the Lake Erie shoreline, Cedar Point, and the Marblehead peninsula, all within a 30 to 45 minute drive. US Route 20 and the Ohio Turnpike (I-80/90) run close by, which keeps highway access simple for larger rigs. Most RV campgrounds in the area cluster north toward Sandusky, Milan, and Huron rather than in Monroeville itself. Camp Sandusky is a family-friendly campground located about six miles from Cedar Point and close to Put-in-Bay, Kelleys Island, and other Lake Erie attractions, with RV sites, tent camping, and Amish-built cabins. Gotta Getaway RV Park and Sandusky Milan RV Park sit along the Route 250 corridor, and Huron River Valley Campground and Marina offers river access closer to Lake Erie. Sandusky/Bayshore KOA Holiday rounds out the closest full-service options for travelers who want hookups, a pool, and an on-site camp store.

Private campgrounds in the Monroeville and Sandusky corridor book directly through their own websites or by phone. Sandusky/Bayshore KOA Holiday uses the KOA reservation platform. Camp Sandusky, Gotta Getaway RV Park, Sandusky Milan RV Park, and Huron River Valley Campground and Marina each take reservations on their own sites, and holiday weekends fill months ahead. Ohio State Parks handle bookings through reserveohio.com or by phone at (866) 644-6727. Campsite and camper-cabin reservations open six months in advance, while state park lodges and deluxe cabins open up to twelve months out. Ohio State Parks allow stays of up to 14 days in any 30-day period, with a two-night minimum on regular weekends and a three-night minimum on Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends.
