Campgrounds and RV parks near Newtown, OH

Newtown sits in Hamilton County along the Little Miami River, minutes east of downtown Cincinnati and close to Interstates 275 and 71. The village works well as a base for RV travelers who want river access, suburban conveniences, and quick routes into the Cincinnati metro without staying in the urban core. Most RV options in the area are private parks rather than state-run campgrounds. Tuckers Landing RV Park and Hidden Valley RV Park and Storage are among the closest, with Cincinnati Campsites and Riverfront RV Park serving travelers heading toward the Ohio River corridor. AJ Jolly Park & Campground, run by Campbell County across the river in northern Kentucky, adds a public-park option with a lake and larger recreation footprint, though the campground portion has been closed for the 2026 season. Expect a mix of full-hookup pads, gravel and grass sites, and a few tent-friendly spots. Rig-size limits and hookup configurations vary by park, so confirm length, slide clearance, and 30 or 50 amp service directly with the campground before booking.

Private campgrounds around Newtown, including Tuckers Landing RV Park, Hidden Valley RV Park and Storage, Cincinnati Campsites, and Riverfront RV Park, each handle their own reservations. Most take bookings by phone or through their website, and some also list availability on aggregator platforms. Call ahead if traveling with a large rig or requesting a specific site. AJ Jolly Park & Campground is operated by Campbell County Parks & Recreation in Kentucky. Its campground has been closed for the 2026 season, so travelers should check the county's website for updates before planning around it. Shelter reservations at the park are handled by phone through the county parks office. For summer weekends, holiday periods, and event weekends tied to Cincinnati sports, festivals, or Kings Island, reserve early. Midweek availability is generally easier to secure across all nearby parks.
