Campgrounds and RV parks near Summerside, OH

Summerside is an unincorporated community in Union Township, Clermont County, on the eastern edge of the Cincinnati metro area. Its location off State Route 32 puts RV travelers within roughly 20 to 30 minutes of downtown Cincinnati, the Ohio River, and the wooded hill country of Clermont and Brown counties. The area's largest public campground is East Fork State Park Campground, set on William H. Harsha Lake about 25 miles east of Cincinnati and operated by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. Private options closer to Summerside include Tuckers Landing RV Park along the Ohio River, Riverfront RV Park, and Hidden Valley RV Park and Storage, while Cincinnati Campsites serves travelers who want to stay closer to the city. Most sites in the region accommodate travel trailers, fifth wheels, and Class A through C motorhomes. Electric hookups are standard at the state park, with a smaller number of full-hookup sites; private parks typically offer water, electric, and sewer at the pad.

Sites at East Fork State Park Campground are reserved through the ReserveOhio system at reserveohio.com, online or by phone, up to six months ahead of the arrival date. Ohio State Parks no longer offer walk-in campsites or on-site self-registration, so a reservation is required before arrival. Private parks including Tuckers Landing RV Park, Riverfront RV Park, Hidden Valley RV Park and Storage, and Cincinnati Campsites are booked directly with the operator by phone or through their websites and third-party RV booking platforms. Long stays and monthly rates are common at the private parks and should be requested in advance. For holiday weekends and any weekend in July, plan on booking two to three months out, especially for full-hookup or lakeside sites.
