Lake Murray is entirely surrounded by Lake Murray State Park, and one scenic highway, 77S, runs around the entire park, connecting all campgrounds, beaches, and other areas. The park entrance sits a few miles east of I-35, so access from the interstate is straightforward for larger rigs. Hookup levels vary by loop. Some RV sites feature full hookups, with a variety of pull-through sites and bath and shower houses; six campgrounds are open 24 hours a day, and Elephant Rock, Cedar Cove, and Tipps Point are gated. Daily parking fees are required throughout Lake Murray State Park, and pets are welcome at the park for an additional fee, and all dogs must be leashed. Cell coverage is generally reliable near Ardmore and along I-35.
