Campgrounds and RV parks near Grandfield, OK

Grandfield sits in Tillman County in far southwestern Oklahoma, close to the Red River and the Texas state line. The town itself has limited RV infrastructure, so most travelers base out of full-service parks across the river in the Wichita Falls, Texas area, roughly a 25-mile drive south. That corridor puts travelers within reach of Waurika Lake, which encompasses 10,100 acres of water and about 12,000 acres of land in portions of Jefferson, Cotton and Stephens Counties, the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge to the north, and Red River access points along US-70 and US-183. The closest developed options include Burkburnett / Wichita Falls KOA Journey and A Lynn RV Park just across the river, with Wichita Falls RV Park a short drive further into town. Southern Plains RV Park and Anson RV Park serve travelers routing further west or south on longer trips through north Texas. Expect flat to gently rolling prairie, big skies, and wide temperature swings between seasons. This is a working-ranch region rather than a resort destination, which keeps sites easier to book than parks near major national attractions.

Private RV parks in the Wichita Falls corridor, including Burkburnett / Wichita Falls KOA Journey, A Lynn RV Park, and Wichita Falls RV Park, take reservations directly through their own websites, by phone, or through the KOA app for KOA locations. Southern Plains RV Park and Anson RV Park follow the same direct-booking pattern. Waurika Lake features several U.S. Army Corps of Engineers campgrounds with varying amenities for tent and RV camping, and reservable sites are booked through Recreation.gov on a rolling window up to six months ahead of arrival. Holiday weekends around Memorial Day, July 4, and Labor Day fill first. Book spring fishing weekends and fall hunting-season stays several weeks in advance, and confirm rig-length limits when reserving pull-through sites.
