RV campgrounds near Madill, Oklahoma
Madill sits in Marshall County in south-central Oklahoma, minutes north of Lake Texoma, the state's second-largest lake and one of the region's premier striped bass fisheries. Most RV camping in the area clusters along the Oklahoma shoreline of the lake, with a mix of state park campgrounds, private lakeside resorts, and marina-based sites offering full and partial hookups.
Lake Texoma State Park anchors the public side. Its facilities include full-hookup RV sites, semi-modern sites with water and electric, tent sites, and a rally area with electric clusters offering 30 amp electric and water service. Named campgrounds within the park include Bens - Lake Texoma State Park and Catfish Bay - Lake Texoma State Park, the latter co-located with a full-service marina.
Privately operated options nearby include Soldier Creek Resort and Marina and Little Glasses Resort and Marina, both offering waterfront access and boat facilities, plus Sunset View RV Resort for travelers wanting a quieter park-style layout away from the marina crowds.
Things to do around Madill
Lake Texoma drives the itinerary. Striped bass fishing is the headline activity and runs year-round, with guide services operating out of Catfish Bay Marina through the Texoma Striper Guide Association. Boating, waterskiing, paddling, and swimming at the park beach fill out the on-water options, and the marina mart and fuel dock handle resupply.
On shore, Lake Texoma State Park offers picnic areas, a swim beach, boat ramps, and a short hiking trail near the Two Rivers Nature Center. Families use the playgrounds and open lawn areas at the Rally Campground for group time.
In town, Madill hosts the annual National Sand Bass Festival, a longstanding community event tied to the region's fishing heritage. Nearby Kingston and Durant add grocery runs, restaurants, and fuel stops within a short drive.

December - February
54° / 37°F 55 mmCold nights, windy; state park loops open year-round
Late spring through early fall is the core RV season around Lake Texoma. May brings big crowds tied to sand bass and striper runs and the Madill festival, and spring is the wettest stretch locally, so travelers should watch for thunderstorms and short-notice flooding on lake-adjacent sites.
June through August is peak family camping. Days are hot and humid with highs commonly in the 90s Fahrenheit, and lake use, marinas, and swim beaches run at full tilt. Weekends fill early at the state park loops and at Soldier Creek Resort and Marina and Little Glasses Resort and Marina, so booking well ahead is important.
September through early November is the sweet spot for cooler-weather trips: fewer crowds, mild days, and continued fishing. Winter camping is possible because the state park campgrounds are open 24 hours per day, year round, but expect cold nights, wind off the lake, and reduced services at some private resorts.

Had a great time on our trip and the owners were super responsive
ASHLEY M. - Jun 2023
If I could rate the experience more than 5 star I would. The communication was outstanding. Evan was in constant communication about pickup, checking in on the experience and checkout. We ended up getting upgraded to a different trailer which was fine with us since we didn’t need a toy hauler. Evan came back out twice. The first was because site only had 30 amp and needed an adapter. The second was because we needed propane and couldn’t get the stove to work. That was primary user error but he got it all rectified. The trailer was amazing, clean and had any and all amenities you would want. The renters are also very nice and friendly people. I would definitely rent from them in the future and highly recommend them.

How to book campsites near Madill
Lake Texoma State Park sites, including Bens - Lake Texoma State Park and Catfish Bay - Lake Texoma State Park, are booked through the Oklahoma State Parks reservation system online. All RV and tent sites must be reserved online prior to occupying any site. The booking window opens up to eleven months ahead of arrival, and reservations must be made at least one day ahead of arrival.
Check-in at the state park is at 5:00 pm and check-out is at 2:00 pm, so plan drive times accordingly. Private options like Soldier Creek Resort and Marina, Little Glasses Resort and Marina, and Sunset View RV Resort are booked directly with each property; phone or online forms are typical, and holiday weekends sell out months in advance.
What to expect at Madill-area campgrounds
Expect a lake-recreation atmosphere rather than a wilderness one. State park RV loops offer paved or gravel pads, full or partial hookups with 30 and 50 amp service at many sites, water, and access to comfort stations with showers. Some waterfront pull-through sites are available, with a dump station located within the park.
Cell coverage is generally usable across the Oklahoma shoreline but can dip in tree-shaded loops. Summer weekends bring boat traffic, generator use in day-use areas, and busy ramps, so early-morning launches are common. Bugs, ticks, and armadillo activity increase in warm months.
Storms move quickly across this part of Oklahoma. Watch for severe thunderstorm and tornado warnings in spring, secure awnings, and know the nearest shelter location at the campground before settling in.

Booking is low-risk. RVezy sets the cancellation policy (not individual hosts), and it includes a money-back grace period right after you book. Exact refund amounts depend on how close to your pickup date you cancel, so review the policy attached to your booking in your confirmation. If a host cancels on you, RVezy helps with a full refund or rebooking credit. Pro tip: lock in your dates early for striped bass season at Lake Texoma, then relax knowing the policy has your back.

swt.usace.army.mil/Locations/Tulsa-District-Lakes/Oklahoma/Lake-Texoma/Can the RV be delivered to my campsite in Madill?
Yes, RV delivery in Madill is one of the smartest ways to start your trip, especially if it is your first time renting an RV. Many RVezy hosts in the Madill and Lake Texoma area will tow the RV right to your reserved site at Texoma Shores Resort, a Corps of Engineers campground like Burns Run West or Caney Creek, or a private property, then level it, hook up water and 30/50 amp power, and walk you through every system. That means no backing a 30-foot trailer down a winding lake road on day one. Filter by Delivery on the listing page to see who offers it and how far they will go. Pro tip: ask about delivery to lakefront cabin rentals too, many hosts deliver to Cumberland Cove addresses near the lake.
