Brownsville sits on the Monongahela River in Fayette County, in the southwestern corner of Pennsylvania. It works well as an RV base for the Laurel Highlands, with Ohiopyle State Park, Fallingwater, and Kentuck Knob all within about an hour east, and metropolitan Pittsburgh roughly an hour to the northwest.
