Campgrounds and RV parks near Youngsville, PA

Youngsville sits in the Brokenstraw Valley in Warren County, along U.S. Route 6 in northwestern Pennsylvania. The borough is a practical staging point for the western edge of the Allegheny National Forest, Pennsylvania's only national forest, which covers more than half a million acres of northern hardwood plateau. Warren, the county seat, is a short drive east and offers the closest full-service resupply. Most RV campers base themselves at one of the private campgrounds along the valley or cross a short distance into Chautauqua County, New York, for lake-country options. Hickory Creek Wilderness Ranch, Harecreek Campground, and Whispering Winds Campground fall on the Pennsylvania side. Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort: Chautauqua County New York and Panama Rocks sit just over the state line. Expect a mix of full-hookup RV parks, primitive forest sites, and a few state-park campgrounds within about an hour of town. Elevations run roughly 1,000 to 2,300 feet, so nights cool off quickly even in summer.

Pennsylvania state park sites, including Chapman State Park, are booked through the state's reservation system online or by calling 888-PA-PARKS. Reservations can be made up to 11 months in advance and must be made at least three days ahead of arrival, with unfilled sites available first-come, first-served. Allegheny National Forest developed campgrounds use Recreation.gov, reachable online or by phone at 877-444-6777. Dispersed sites within the national forest remain free and first-come, first-served. Private parks in the area, including Panama Rocks and Hickory Creek Wilderness Ranch, take reservations directly through their own websites or by phone. For summer weekends and fall-foliage weekends, book as early as the window opens. Cancellation windows vary by operator, so confirm policies before locking in dates.
