Campgrounds and RV parks near Harleyville, SC

Harleyville sits in rural Dorchester County, South Carolina, about twenty minutes northwest of Summerville and within easy reach of Charleston, Interstate 26, and Interstate 95. The town is small and quiet, and most RV travelers use it as a Lowcountry base for exploring the Edisto River corridor, Francis Marion National Forest, and the historic sites north of Charleston. Campground options range from private RV parks with full hookups to two state parks on the Edisto River. Jolly Acres RV Park and Storage and St George RV Park behind hotel offer straightforward stays close to the I-95 corridor, while Horseshoe Lake Farm provides a more rural, farm-style setting. For public land camping, Givhans Ferry State Park and Colleton State Park both sit along the Edisto, one of the longest free-flowing blackwater rivers in the country. The area suits families and stopover travelers equally well. Grocery, fuel, and dump-station access are close by, and Charleston's beaches, historic district, and attractions are within a short drive.
