Campgrounds and RV parks near North Hartsville, SC

North Hartsville sits in South Carolina's Pee Dee region, within easy RV range of the state's Sandhills longleaf pine belt and the Lynches River floodplain. The area mixes private RV parks with two nearby state parks and a large state recreation area, so travelers can choose between resort-style amenities and quieter, forested public sites. Closest to town, Standing Pines and The Farm Campground offer private-park hookups aimed at families and long-haul RVers. A short drive northeast, H Cooper Black Jr Memorial Recreational Area covers 7,000 rolling acres of longleaf pine forest and fields with equestrian-focused camping, while adjacent Cheraw State Park adds cabins, a lake, and a championship golf course. To the south, Lee State Park sits along the Lynches River in bottomland hardwood forest. Most public sites are managed by South Carolina State Parks and share a common reservation system, which simplifies trip planning. Private options fill in the gaps with pull-throughs, full hookups, and family amenities not typically found in state park loops.

State park sites at Lee State Park, Cheraw State Park, and H Cooper Black Jr Memorial Recreational Area are booked through the South Carolina State Parks reservation system online or by phone. Reservations at state parks may be made up to 13 months in advance, and reservations requested less than one day in advance of check-in must be made directly through the park. Minimum length of stay is 2 nights, and some parks have longer minimum stay requirements during peak season and holidays. Check-in time for camping is 2:00 p.m. and check-out time is 12:00 p.m. Cabin and campsite rentals are typically accepted for a two-night minimum, however, during busier periods, minimum stays may be increased at some parks. Private options like Standing Pines and The Farm Campground use their own booking systems, so contact them directly for hookup type, rig-length limits, and family site preferences.
