Campgrounds and RV parks near Pine Ridge, SC

Pine Ridge is a small community in Lexington County, just southwest of Columbia in the South Carolina Midlands. RV travelers use it as a low-traffic base within easy reach of Lake Murray, the Congaree River corridor, and a cluster of state-run campgrounds in the Sandhills and Pee Dee regions to the east and northeast. The closest options include The Farm Campground and Standing Pines, both private parks within a reasonable drive of the Pine Ridge area. For public land camping, Lee State Park sits along the Lynches River near Bishopville, while H Cooper Black Jr Memorial Recreational Area and Cheraw State Park are clustered near Cheraw in the northeast corner of the state. Most sites in the area offer drive-up RV access, water and electric hookups, and gravel or paved pads. The regional mix leans toward wooded, lake-adjacent, or equestrian-oriented parks rather than resort-style destinations, which suits travelers who want quieter stays with room to move a rig.

South Carolina State Parks, which manages Lee State Park, Cheraw State Park, and H Cooper Black, uses a single reservation system at southcarolinaparks.com or by phone at 866-345-7275. Reservations may be made up to 13 months in advance, and requests less than one day before check-in must be made directly with the park office. Most state park campsites require a two-night minimum. Check-in is 2:00 p.m. and check-out is 12:00 p.m. Reservations are tied to a specific park and cannot be transferred between parks. The Farm Campground and Standing Pines are private operations with their own booking pages and policies. For peak weekends in spring and fall, and for lakefront sites at Cheraw, book several weeks to a few months out.
