Campgrounds and RV parks near Turbeville, SC

Turbeville sits in Clarendon County, South Carolina, at the crossroads of Interstate 95 and U.S. 378, roughly midway between Columbia and the coast. The location makes it a practical base for RV trips into the Santee Cooper lakes region to the south and the Pee Dee floodplain to the north, with several campgrounds within a short drive of the I-95 exits. Options close to town lean toward RV-focused parks. CrossRoads Coach Resort at the ROB is set up for larger rigs with full hookups and pull-through sites just off I-95, and Nowhere Campground and RV Park sits nearby for shorter overnight stops. For campers wanting water access, Taw Caw Campground and Marina and Angel's Landing Campground both offer waterfront sites on the Santee Cooper system, on Lake Marion and Lake Moultrie respectively. Lee State Park, part of the South Carolina State Park system, provides the closest public-land camping, sitting along the Lynches River near Bishopville off I-20, roughly 40 minutes northwest of Turbeville.

Lee State Park reservations are handled through the South Carolina State Parks system online or by phone at 1-866-345-7275, and can be made up to 13 months in advance. A two-night minimum typically applies, and reservations requested less than one day before check-in must be made directly with the park office. Check-in is 2:00 p.m. and check-out is noon. Private parks such as CrossRoads Coach Resort at the ROB, Nowhere Campground and RV Park, Taw Caw Campground and Marina, and Angel's Landing Campground book directly through their own websites or by phone. Waterfront sites at the marina campgrounds are limited and tend to book earliest for summer weekends and holiday periods, so plan ahead if a lake-view site is a priority.
