Woodfield is an unincorporated community in Richland County on the northeast side of Columbia, South Carolina, placing RV travelers within a short drive of the Sandhills, the Congaree River basin, and the interstate corridors of I-20, I-77, and I-26. The area suits families looking for a Midlands base with quick access to city attractions, lake recreation, and state park camping. The closest public option is Sesquicentennial State Park, a 1,400-acre pine-forest park operated by South Carolina State Parks and located on Two Notch Road in Columbia. Private RV parks in the surrounding area include Big Rig Friendly RV Resort, Barnyard RV Park, and Columbia / Camden RV Park, which cater to longer motorhomes and full-hookup travelers. Broad River Campground sits west of the city near the Broad River. Most sites in the region offer 30 or 50 amp electric, water, and dump-station access, with a mix of pull-through and back-in configurations. Reservation windows and cancellation rules vary by operator, so trip planners should check each campground directly before locking in dates.

Sesquicentennial State Park is reserved through the South Carolina State Parks reservation system, either online or by phone. Reservations can be made up to 13 months in advance, require a two-night minimum stay, and are capped at 14 consecutive nights, with a seven-night vacancy period required between reservations on the same site. Bookings inside one day of arrival must be made by calling the park directly. Private parks such as Big Rig Friendly RV Resort, Barnyard RV Park, Columbia / Camden RV Park, and Broad River Campground each run their own booking systems by phone or website. Holiday weekends, University of South Carolina home football weekends, and major NASCAR events at Darlington fill quickly, so trip planners should reserve early for those dates.
