Campgrounds and RV parks near Wyboo, SC

Wyboo sits on the south-central shore of Lake Marion, South Carolina's largest lake at roughly 110,000 acres and part of the Santee Cooper reservoir system. The area is just south of Manning, near I-95, and puts RV travelers within reach of Charleston, Columbia, and the Atlantic coast. Most campgrounds in the area are private lakefront parks built around fishing, boating, and family recreation, with Santee State Park across the lake as the region's largest public option. Closest to Wyboo, Taw Caw Campground and Marina is a family-focused waterfront destination on the shores of Lake Marion in Summerton, with 2,000 feet of waterfront, a paved boat ramp, 49 wet slips, and a 150-foot lighted pier. Other nearby options include Rocks Pond Campground and Marina in Eutawville, Bells Marina & Resort, Hill's Landing & RV Park, and Palmetto Shores RV Resort. Expect flat terrain, oak and cypress cover, and easy lake access from most campgrounds. Sites range from primitive tent pads to full-hookup pull-throughs sized for big rigs.

Private lakefront parks handle their own reservations directly by phone or website. Bells Marina & Resort, Rocks Pond Campground and Marina, and Taw Caw Campground and Marina all take bookings online or by phone. Waterfront and full-hookup sites go first, so book several weeks ahead for summer weekends and months ahead for holidays. Hill's Landing & RV Park and Palmetto Shores RV Resort also book directly with the operator. For Santee State Park across the lake, reservations run through the South Carolina State Parks system. Reservations may be made up to 13 months in advance, and requests less than one day before check-in must be made directly through the park. The Lakeshore and Cypress View campgrounds both offer sites with individual water and electric hookups. Reservations can be made by phone at 1-866-345-PARK or online through the state parks reservation site.
