Campgrounds and RV parks near Eagleton Village, TN

Eagleton Village sits in Blount County, Tennessee, immediately west of the Foothills Parkway and about a 30 minute drive from the Townsend entrance to Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The location puts RV travelers within a short haul of both private full-hookup parks and the National Park Service frontcountry campgrounds inside the Smokies. Private options closest to the village include Southlake RV Park and Whispering River RV Resort, with Little River Campground, Big Meadow Family Campground, and Lazy Daze Campground clustered along the Townsend corridor toward the park boundary. These parks generally offer 30 and 50 amp service, water, and sewer, which the in-park campgrounds do not. For visitors who want to be inside the park, Cades Cove and Elkmont are the two closest NPS campgrounds. Both are reservation-based through Recreation.gov, and have no electrical or water hookups, so most RV travelers use a private park as a base and day-trip into the Smokies.

Private parks near Eagleton Village, including Southlake RV Park, Whispering River RV Resort, Little River Campground, Big Meadow Family Campground, and Lazy Daze Campground, take reservations directly through their own websites or by phone. For summer weekends and any October date, book as early as possible. Last-minute availability in the Townsend corridor is limited. All frontcountry campgrounds inside Great Smoky Mountains National Park are reserved through Recreation.gov. Individual sites open up to six months in advance, and group sites up to one year in advance. The park stay limit is 14 consecutive days. Cancellations are common, so setting an availability alert on Recreation.gov is a reliable way to catch a released site for a specific date.
