Campgrounds near Gladeville, Tennessee
Gladeville is an unincorporated community in Wilson County, Middle Tennessee, positioned between Nashville and Lebanon just south of Interstate 40. The location works well as an RV base: downtown Nashville sits roughly 30 minutes west, and Cedars of Lebanon State Park is located in Middle Tennessee, about 40 minutes east of Nashville, a short drive from Gladeville itself.
Campground options in the immediate area cover the full range of RV needs. Rural Hill Farm in Mt. Juliet offers 17 full hookup RV sites with 30 and 50 amp, water, and sewer connections, plus a bathhouse with laundry facilities on a 180-acre property with a two-acre stocked pond. The Nashville East / Lebanon KOA Journey sits just off I-40 at exit 232 with long pull-thru RV sites geared to travelers. TN40RV Campground and Shady Acres RV Park round out the private options, while Cedars of Lebanon State Park handles state-park camping.
Most sites are open year-round, though pool amenities and some seasonal services run only from late spring through early fall.
Things to do near Gladeville
Cedars of Lebanon State Park is the main outdoor draw. The park has the largest public stands of eastern red cedar trees in the U.S., with hiking trails through cedar glades, a swimming pool that opens Memorial Day weekend with lifeguards on duty during the summer months, picnic areas, and a camp store.
Water activities center on J. Percy Priest Lake and Long Hunter State Park, both a short drive west of Gladeville, with boat ramps, swim beaches, and shoreline trails. Rural Hill Farm keeps a two-acre stocked pond and on-property nature trails for guests who want to stay close to camp.
For town activities, downtown Lebanon offers antique shops and restaurants, and Nashville attractions including the Grand Ole Opry, the Ryman Auditorium, and the Broadway honky-tonk district are within a 30 to 40 minute drive.

Spring and fall are the most comfortable windows for RV travel around Gladeville. Daytime highs sit in the 60s and 70s Fahrenheit, humidity is manageable, and campgrounds fill more predictably than in peak summer. Spring brings a wet stretch of the year, with blooms brightening hiking trails but frequent thunderstorm days, so check radar before travel days.
Summer is the busy season. Highs regularly reach the upper 80s and low 90s, humidity is high, and pool access matters. The Nashville East / Lebanon KOA Journey pool is open from Memorial Day weekend through September 30, and the Cedars of Lebanon State Park pool follows a similar summer schedule. Weekends around Memorial Day, July 4, and Labor Day book heavily, and state park sites can require longer minimum stays on holidays.
Winter is mild but variable. Freezing nights are common, occasional snow does occur, and while most campgrounds stay open, some seasonal amenities close. At Cedars of Lebanon, the laundromat and camp store are open year-round.

Michael’s RV was excellent. His communication was prompt and clear. The RV is in good shape, drove easily, and was very clean. The snacks and coffee were appreciated and the airport pickup and drop off was incredibly smooth. I’d definitely rent from Michael again on my next trip to Seattle.

How to book campgrounds near Gladeville
Cedars of Lebanon State Park uses the Tennessee State Parks reservation system. Sites can be booked online through reserve.tnstateparks.com or by calling the central reservation line at 888-TNPARKS. Advanced reservations may be made up to one year in advance, with a non-refundable advanced reservation fee per campsite. Most campsites require a minimum two-night stay, and holidays and special events can require longer minimums.
The Nashville East / Lebanon KOA Journey books through the KOA site or app, with instant confirmation for most site types. Rural Hill Farm accepts Instant Book reservations through RoverPass and also lists on Harvest Hosts.
For summer weekends and holidays, reserve six to eight weeks ahead. Shoulder-season weekdays can often be booked a week or two out.
What to expect on arrival
Access is straightforward. The Nashville East / Lebanon KOA Journey sits just off I-40 at exit 232 via Safari Camp Road, and staff direct arriving rigs to assigned sites. Rural Hill Farm is a self-directed operation: sites are reserved by number, campers should confirm their site number on the confirmation email before arrival, and rigs must be in the site reserved.
Hookups vary by property. Rural Hill Farm offers 17 full hookup RV sites with 30 and 50 amp, water, and sewer. At Cedars of Lebanon State Park, all sites have picnic tables, grills, and water and electric hookups, with 20/30/50-amp electric service, three bathhouses providing hot showers and restrooms, and a dumping station for self-contained rigs.
Cell service is generally solid across Wilson County. Bring bug spray from late spring through early fall.

Frequently asked questions about campgrounds near Gladeville, TN
How much does it cost to rent an RV in Gladeville, TN?
RV rental in Gladeville is one of the most affordable ways to experience Middle Tennessee, with most rentals on RVezy running about $95 to $175 per night for travel trailers, $150 to $225 for Class C motorhomes, and $200 to $325 for larger Class A coaches. Because hosts set their own pricing, you can find a cheap RV rental Gladeville option for almost any budget, especially mid-week and outside of CMA Fest week in June. To save more, book a 5+ night stay (many hosts discount weekly rates), choose a travel trailer with delivery instead of driving yourself, and avoid the Bonnaroo weekend in nearby Manchester when demand spikes. Pro tip: shoulder months like March and October are the sweet spot for value.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Gladeville,TennesseeWhat kind of driver's license do I need to rent an RV in Gladeville?
Great news: a regular driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Gladeville. Tennessee does not require a Commercial Driver License (CDL) or any special endorsement for recreational vehicles used for personal travel, so your standard Class D license works for everything from a campervan to a Class A motorhome. On RVezy, approved renters are generally 25 or older, and ID verification happens through the platform during booking. Visiting from out of state or Canada? Your home license is recognized in Tennessee. Most first-timers are surprised how simple the paperwork really is before hitting the road toward Cedars of Lebanon State Park.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039008774-Understanding-approved-driver-requirementsWhat protection and roadside support comes with my Gladeville RV rental?
Every RV rental in Gladeville booked through RVezy automatically includes a renter protection plan plus 24/7 roadside assistance, so you can hit I-40 toward the Smokies with real peace of mind. The protection plan covers most damage to the vehicle and you choose your coverage level during checkout, not the host. If you get a flat on the Natchez Trace Parkway or need a jump at the Nashville KOA, one call to RVezy support gets help dispatched any hour of the day. Pro tip: take a few walk-around photos at pickup so any pre-existing dings are documented, and you are set for a worry-free Gladeville RV trip.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/34008759079835-RVezy-renter-protection-plans-in-detailWhat if I need to cancel my Gladeville RV rental?
Booking is low-risk because RVezy (not individual hosts) sets a consistent cancellation policy across every listing, including a money-back grace period right after you book. That means if your plans shift or a flight gets cancelled, you have clear options rather than guessing host by host. Cancellation terms depend on how close to your trip start you are and whether circumstances like a host cancellation apply, so review the policy details on RVezy before confirming. If a host cancels on you, RVezy will help you rebook or provide a refund. Pro tip: lock in your dates early to secure the best RVs for Bonnaroo or CMA Fest weekends, then adjust later if needed.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360037736674-Understanding-the-cancellation-policy-for-guestsCan I bring my dog on a Gladeville RV trip?
Absolutely, pet-friendly RV rental Gladeville options are easy to find on RVezy. Just toggle the Pet-Friendly filter and you will see listings whose owners welcome four-legged travelers, sometimes with a small cleaning fee. Once you arrive, your pup has plenty of room to roam: Cedars of Lebanon State Park allows leashed pets on trails and at campsites, and Long Hunter State Park on Percy Priest Lake is another tail-wagging favorite just a short drive away. Pro tip: message the host before booking to confirm your specific breed and ask about their favorite local dog-friendly spots. Many hosts in the Gladeville area are pet parents themselves.
tnstateparks.com/parks/cedars-of-lebanonCan the RV be delivered to my campsite near Gladeville?
Yes, RV delivery Gladeville is one of the most popular options on RVezy, and it is a game-changer if you have never towed before. Many local hosts will deliver the RV directly to Cedars of Lebanon State Park, Poole Knobs Campground on Percy Priest Lake, or even a private property in Mt. Juliet or Lebanon, then level it, hook up water and power, and walk you through every system before leaving. Delivery fees typically run a few dollars per mile from the host's home base, with many offering free delivery within a set radius. Filter for Delivery on RVezy and message the host with your campsite number. You literally just show up with groceries and start your vacation.
tnstateparks.com/parks/cedars-of-lebanonHow far can I drive on an RV road trip from Gladeville?
You are perfectly positioned for a Tennessee RV road trip from Gladeville, with iconic destinations all within a tank or two. Downtown Nashville is about 25 miles west (around 35 minutes), Great Smoky Mountains National Park is roughly 210 miles east via I-40 (about 3.5 hours), Memphis sits about 220 miles west (around 3.5 hours), Mammoth Cave National Park in Kentucky is about 100 miles north (just under 2 hours), and the Natchez Trace Parkway begins about 45 miles southwest. Most RVezy hosts in Gladeville include 100 to 150 free miles per night, with additional miles at a per-mile fee. Pro tip: ask about RV rental with unlimited mileage when messaging the host, since some offer it for longer trips.
nps.gov/natr/index.htmWhere are the best campgrounds near Gladeville for RV camping?
RV camping Gladeville has fantastic options within 30 minutes of town. Cedars of Lebanon State Park (10 miles south) offers 117 sites with water and 20/30/50-amp electric, a dump station, and beautiful cedar glades. Nashville KOA Resort sits 20 miles west and is the closest full-hookup park to the Grand Ole Opry. Poole Knobs Campground on J. Percy Priest Lake (about 15 miles southwest) is a Corps of Engineers gem with lakeside sites. Cedar Creek Campground (also on Percy Priest) and Seven Points Campground round out the top picks. Pro tip: state park and Corps sites open reservations 6 to 12 months out and fill fast for summer weekends, so book as soon as your dates are firm.
tnstateparks.com/parks/cedars-of-lebanonWhen is the best time of year to rent an RV in Gladeville, TN?
April through early June and September through late October are the sweet spots for an RV trip in Gladeville. Spring brings highs in the 70s, blooming dogwoods, and comfortable nights in the 50s. Fall delivers crisp mornings and brilliant foliage in the cedar glades at Cedars of Lebanon. Summer (June to August) is warm and humid with highs frequently in the upper 80s to low 90s F, so you will want strong air conditioning and shaded sites. Winter is mild by Northern standards (40s and 50s most days), and many campgrounds stay open year-round, including Cedars of Lebanon. Pro tip: book mid-week in October for peak foliage at lower weekend prices, and avoid the second weekend of June if you do not want CMA Fest traffic on I-40.
weather.gov/ohx/I've never driven an RV before. Will I be okay?
You're going to be just fine, first time renting an RV is the norm, not the exception, around Gladeville. Every RVezy host provides a hands-on orientation at pickup, walking you through driving, leveling, hooking up water and power, dumping tanks, and using the generator. Most first-timers choose a Class C motorhome (drives like a big van) or a smaller travel trailer with delivery so they never have to tow. The roads around Gladeville are RV-friendly: Highway 109, I-40, and I-840 are wide and well-maintained. You can also message the host before booking with any questions, and RVezy's customer support is reachable before, during, and after your trip. Pro tip: do a parking-lot practice loop after pickup. Five minutes builds huge confidence.
tn.gov/tdot.htmlWhat happens if something breaks down during my trip?
Take a deep breath, 24/7 roadside assistance is included with every RVezy booking, so help is always one call away whether you are parked at a Cracker Barrel off I-40 or deep in Cedars of Lebanon State Park. The service covers flat tires, dead batteries, lockouts, fuel delivery, and towing to the nearest qualified repair shop. Your host is also typically your second call, since they know their RV best and can often troubleshoot small issues like a tripped breaker or a finicky water pump over the phone. Pro tip: save the RVezy support number and your host's number to your phone before leaving the driveway. You will likely never need them, but it is nice to know.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/34008759079835-RVezy-renter-protection-plans-in-detailCan I take my Gladeville rental RV across state lines or into Canada?
Yes, you can absolutely take your RV rental across state lines, and most hosts welcome multi-state road trips through Kentucky, Georgia, Alabama, and North Carolina. The Great Smokies, Mammoth Cave, and the Blue Ridge Parkway are all popular routes from Gladeville. Cross-border travel into Canada depends on the specific host and insurance terms, so message the host before booking to confirm. Travel to Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals because insurance coverage does not extend there. Pro tip: a classic loop from Gladeville is I-40 east to Asheville, NC, then the Blue Ridge Parkway north, a roughly 600-mile round trip that hits some of the best fall color in the country.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039340074-Insurance-coverage-validityWhat kind of fuel mileage and gas budget should I plan for?
Budgeting for fuel on a Gladeville RV trip is straightforward once you know the numbers. Class B campervans average 18 to 22 MPG, Class C motorhomes run 8 to 12 MPG, and larger Class A coaches typically get 7 to 10 MPG. Travel trailers depend on your tow vehicle but expect a 25 to 35 percent drop from your truck's usual MPG. Tennessee consistently has some of the lowest gas prices in the country, often 30 to 50 cents below the national average, with plenty of pumps along I-40 in Lebanon and Mt. Juliet. Pro tip: fuel up at the Pilot or Love's truck stops at I-40 Exit 238 or Exit 226. They have RV-friendly lanes with high-flow diesel and 50-foot pull-throughs.
eia.gov/petroleum/gasdiesel/How far in advance should I book a campground near Gladeville?
For the best campgrounds near Gladeville, plan to book 3 to 6 months ahead for summer weekends and holiday weeks, and as early as possible if you want a prime site at Cedars of Lebanon State Park during October foliage. Tennessee State Parks open reservations through their official portal at tnstateparks.com, and Army Corps of Engineers parks like Poole Knobs and Seven Points use Recreation.gov with a 6-month booking window. Mid-week stays and shoulder seasons are much easier walk-ups. Pro tip: set a reminder for exactly 6 months before your desired Friday arrival at a Corps campground. Sites release in the morning and lakeside spots on Percy Priest disappear quickly.
recreation.gov/What are the driving conditions like around Gladeville?
Driving conditions for a motorhome rental Gladeville are some of the friendliest in the Southeast. The terrain is gently rolling, roads are wide, and the two main routes (I-40 and I-840) have generous shoulders and easy interchanges. Watch for afternoon thunderstorms in summer (pull off if rain gets heavy), occasional fog in low-lying areas around Stones River in early morning, and rare winter ice events from December to February. Avoid downtown Nashville's Broadway area in a big rig, the height clearances and tight turns aren't fun. Pro tip: take Highway 109 north to I-40 instead of cutting through Mt. Juliet at rush hour, and you'll shave 15 minutes off your trip to the Smokies. Locals know this shortcut well.
smartway.tn.gov/trafficWhat amenities will I find at campgrounds near Gladeville?
Campgrounds near Gladeville are well-equipped for any RV. Cedars of Lebanon State Park has 117 sites with water and 20/30/50-amp electric, a centralized dump station, three bathhouses with hot showers, a laundromat, camp store, and Olympic-sized pool. Nashville KOA Resort offers full hookups (water, sewer, electric) at every site plus Wi-Fi and cable. Corps of Engineers parks on Percy Priest Lake typically have water and electric but no individual sewer (use the dump station on exit). Fresh water fill stations are available at every campground entrance. Pro tip: top off your fresh tank to about two-thirds before arrival, full tanks add 400+ pounds and hurt your MPG on the drive in. You can always top up at the campground.
tnstateparks.com/parks/cedars-of-lebanonWhat features and amenities should I expect inside a rental RV?
RVs on RVezy in Gladeville come surprisingly well-equipped. Expect a real queen or king bed, a kitchen with fridge/freezer, stove, microwave, and sink, a wet or dry bathroom with shower and toilet, roof-mounted A/C (essential for Tennessee summers), a furnace for cool nights, and seatbelts for everyone traveling. Most newer rigs include a flat-screen TV, Bluetooth speakers, and a generator or solar setup. Wi-Fi varies; some hosts include a hotspot, others recommend you bring your own. Larger Class A and Class C motorhomes sleep 6 to 8 with bunk beds and convertible dinettes, perfect for a family RV trip Gladeville. Pro tip: check the listing photos for a dedicated outdoor speaker or awning with LED lights. Those little extras make evenings around the campfire so much better.
fmcsa.dot.gov/regulationsWhat add-ons and options can I get with my rental?
When you rent an RV in Gladeville, hosts offer plenty of add-ons to customize your trip: bedding and linen packages ($25 to $75), camping chairs and outdoor rugs ($15 to $30), grills, bike racks, generators, paddleboards or kayaks (popular near Percy Priest Lake), and even pre-stocked kitchens with coffee, oil, and spices. Pickup and dropoff are typically at the host's home base in or near Gladeville, but delivery to a campground or your driveway is widely available. Mileage policies vary, with most hosts including 100 to 150 free miles per night and a per-mile fee beyond that (RV rental with unlimited mileage is available from some hosts on request). Pro tip: bundle add-ons during booking rather than asking later. Many hosts offer a discount if you grab the full package up front.
tn.gov/tdec.htmlHow does payment and the security deposit work on RVezy?
Payment is straightforward and secure: when you book a campervan rental Gladeville (or any RV) on RVezy, you pay through the platform with a credit or debit card, never directly to the host. A security deposit is typically held (not charged) on your card to cover potential incidentals like extra cleaning, missing items, or minor damage outside the protection plan. As long as you return the RV in similar condition, the hold is released after dropoff. Avoid surprise fees by doing a thorough walk-through video at pickup and dropoff (your host will do this with you) and respecting the mileage and generator-hour allowances. Pro tip: keep all gas and dump-station receipts. They make any small dispute resolve quickly in your favor.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038106214-How-the-security-deposit-worksWhere can I dump tanks and refill fresh water near Gladeville?
Dumping and fresh water fills are easy around Gladeville. Cedars of Lebanon State Park has a free dump station for registered campers (and a small fee for non-campers), Nashville KOA offers full sewer at every site, and the Loves Travel Stop at I-40 Exit 238 in Lebanon has a public dump station and potable water spigot for a small fee. Most Corps of Engineers parks on Percy Priest Lake have free dump stations near the exit. Avoid dumping at random roadside pull-offs, Tennessee fines for illegal dumping start at $500. Pro tip: dump black tank first, then gray (the gray water rinses the hose), and always wear gloves. It's much less unpleasant than it sounds and takes about 10 minutes once you've done it once.
