Campgrounds and RV parks near Louisville, TN

Louisville sits on a bend of the Tennessee River in Blount County, just south of Knoxville and immediately north of Fort Loudoun Lake and Tellico Lake. The area functions as a lake-country base for RV travelers, with McGhee Tyson Airport nearby and the Great Smoky Mountains roughly 30 miles southeast. Tellico Lake, a TVA reservoir on the bed of the Little Tennessee River, stretches about 33 miles and provides most of the shoreline camping close to town. Most campgrounds within a short drive are lakefront properties on Fort Loudoun and Tellico reservoirs. Southlake RV Park is the closest option to Louisville proper, while Yarberry Peninsula Campground, Yarberry Campground, and Lazy Acres RV Park cluster along the Yarberry Peninsula near Lenoir City. Lotterdale Cove Campground TRDA sits farther south near Greenback and is operated by the Tellico Reservoir Development Agency. Between the TRDA property, TVA-managed sites, and private RV parks, renters have full-hookup and partial-hookup choices within a 20-minute radius of Louisville.

Booking channels vary by operator. Lotterdale Cove Campground TRDA takes reservations by phone through the campground office at (865) 776-0720, and the site also lists booking through its Tellico Lake Campgrounds page. Yarberry Campground and Yarberry Peninsula Campground handle reservations online through their websites and by phone, and Yarberry sites require a two-night minimum stay, with exceptions requiring a direct call to the campground office. Private parks such as Southlake RV Park and Lazy Acres RV Park generally accept phone and online reservations. For summer weekends, holidays, and events in nearby Knoxville, book several weeks ahead. Lakefront sites go first. Confirm rig-length limits, hookup type, and any gate-code procedures for late arrivals before travel day.
