Booking campgrounds near Todd Mission
Most campgrounds around Todd Mission are privately owned, so reservations go through each operator directly rather than a state or federal portal. Fields of New Market Campground bookings are handled through the Texas Renaissance Festival ticketing site, with camping passes tied to specific festival weekends and sold in advance. Magnolia Oaks RV Park, Alford RV Park, Magnolia Forest RV Park, and Plantersville RV Park and Storage take reservations by phone or through their own websites. For festival weekends, plan to book several months ahead, as capacity fills quickly. For non-festival stays, shorter lead times are usually workable, though snowbird traffic can tighten winter availability at parks with monthly rates.
What to expect at Todd Mission campgrounds
Expect flat sites on gravel or concrete pads, scattered oak and pine cover, and full hookups at most private parks in the area. Magnolia Oaks RV Park offers 30 and 50 amp service, water, sewer, and Wi-Fi with paved pads and big-rig access. Plantersville RV Park and Storage features large concrete pads and a stocked pond for fishing. Fields of New Market Campground provides restrooms with showers, a dump station, and a general store during festival weekends, but many sites there are dry camping rather than full hookups. Cell coverage is generally reliable across the major carriers. Summer brings mosquitoes and biting flies, so screens and repellent are worth packing.
