Campgrounds and RV parks near Clarkston, UT

Clarkston sits in the northwest corner of Cache Valley, close to the Idaho state line and roughly 20 miles from Logan. The surrounding area is agricultural and rural, with the Wellsville Mountains rising to the south and open range country stretching west toward the Malad Range. RV travelers typically use Clarkston as a quiet base for exploring Cache Valley, the Bear River Range, and the natural hot springs clustered along the Utah-Idaho border. Campground options near town lean toward small private RV parks and one full-service state park. Belmont Hot Springs RV Park and Resort in nearby Garland offers full hookups alongside natural hot spring pools, and Bear River Hot Springs provides a similar soaking-focused stop. Aspen Grove RV Park and Traveland RV Park round out the private options for travelers who want hookups without frills. Hyrum State Park, about 45 minutes southeast, is the closest developed reservoir campground and the main public option for boaters and anglers. Together these parks cover most travel styles, from quick overnight stops to week-long stays with water access.

Hyrum State Park uses the Utah State Parks reservation system through ReserveAmerica. Reservations must be made two or more days in advance of arrival, and summer weekend sites at Lakeview Campground should be booked well ahead. In the off-season, campsites are available on a first come, first served basis with a self-pay envelope at the entrance. The private RV parks in the area, including Belmont Hot Springs RV Park and Resort, Aspen Grove RV Park, Traveland RV Park, and Bear River Hot Springs, handle bookings directly by phone or through their own websites. Belmont Hot Springs also lists availability through Harvest Hosts. For summer weekends and holidays, call ahead: the hot-spring parks fill quickly and hookup inventory is limited.
