Campgrounds and RV parks near Eagle Mountain, UT

Eagle Mountain sits on the west side of Utah Valley, roughly 30 miles south of Salt Lake City and within easy reach of Utah Lake, the Wasatch Front, and the Traverse Mountains. The area works well as a base for RV travellers who want lake access, urban services, and canyon recreation in a single trip. Most developed campgrounds sit east of town toward Provo, Draper, and Provo Canyon. Options range from full-service RV parks to a state-park campground on the water. Utah Lake State Park has an RV campground of 31 sites with water and power hookups, and Mountain Shadows RV Park and Motorhome Park in Draper offers full-hookup sites minutes from Salt Lake City and area ski resorts. Provo River Resort sits along US-189 in Provo Canyon near the banks of the Provo River, and Lakeside RV Campground rounds out the options closer to Provo. Flight Park State Recreation Area is a state park in northern Utah County dedicated to hang gliding and paragliding, located on the south side of Point of the Mountain just north of Lehi, and it primarily serves day-use visitors.

Utah state park campsites are booked through Reserve America, and individual campsites are available for reservation on a four-month rolling basis; for example, on January 10 individual sites are available for reservation through May 10. Campers can book a maximum of 13 days beyond the last date of the reservation window. Some sites may be available only from the campground on a first-come, first-served basis, which can help for mid-week arrivals.
