Campgrounds and RV parks near Newton, UT

Newton sits in Cache Valley in northern Utah, roughly twenty miles northwest of Logan and just south of the Idaho border. The town borders Newton Reservoir and is a short drive from Cutler Reservoir on the Bear River, giving RV travelers quick access to water recreation without leaving the valley floor. Elevation is about 4,528 feet, and the surrounding terrain rolls from farmland into the Wellsville and Bear River ranges. RV options nearby include Belmont Hot Springs RV Park and Resort in Garland, which offers full hookups and two natural hot spring pools, and Traveland RV Park and Aspen Grove RV Park closer to the Logan corridor. For a state-run reservoir experience, Hyrum State Park lies on the south side of Cache Valley with a developed campground on the water. Bear River Hot Springs adds another geothermal soak option within reasonable driving distance. The area works well as a base for exploring Logan Canyon, Bear Lake, and the northern Wasatch Front.

Hyrum State Park uses the Utah State Parks reservation system through ReserveAmerica, with online booking available around the clock and phone reservations during business hours. Reservations must be made at least two days in advance, and outside the April to October reservation window sites revert to first-come, first-served with a self-pay envelope. Standard cancellation and reservation fees apply. Private parks including Belmont Hot Springs RV Park and Resort, Traveland RV Park, Aspen Grove RV Park, and Bear River Hot Springs book directly through the operator by phone or website. Summer weekends and holidays fill fast at the state park and at the hot springs properties, so booking eight to twelve weeks ahead is recommended for July and August stays.
