Campgrounds and RV parks near South Willard, UT

South Willard sits in Box Elder County along the Wasatch Front, with Willard Bay, a freshwater reservoir managed by Utah State Parks on the eastern edge of the Great Salt Lake floodplain, just to the west and the Wasatch Range climbing sharply to the east. That layout puts water-based camping and full-hookup private parks all within a short drive of town. Willard Bay State Park anchors the area with campgrounds at two marinas. South Marina, on the reservoir's south end, offers full-hookup RV sites near the boat ramp and modern restrooms, while the Willow Creek area sits near the North Marina with pull-through sites suited to larger rigs. Both are the closest options for RV renters who want to launch a boat or use the sandy beaches. Closer to the interstate, Willard Peak Campground is a privately run RV park on Highway 89 in the town of Willard, offering full hookups and easy access to the state park. Brigham City / Perry South KOA Journey and Golden Spike RV Park round out the private options along the I-15 corridor with full-service sites, laundry, and Wi-Fi.

Willard Bay State Park sites at South Marina and Willow Creek are reserved through Utah State Parks on ReserveAmerica, with reservations available Easter weekend through October 31. Utah state park sites are typically bookable up to four months in advance on a rolling window, and prime summer weekends often sell out the day they open. Set a calendar reminder and log in early. Willard Peak Campground takes reservations through Campspot or directly by phone, with nightly, weekly, and monthly options. Brigham City / Perry South KOA Journey books through the KOA website or app, and Golden Spike RV Park takes reservations directly. All three private parks handle larger rigs and slide-outs, which is worth confirming when renting a longer Class A or fifth wheel.
