Late spring through early fall is the primary RV season in the Ogden Valley. Reservoir campgrounds at Willard Bay open by Easter weekend and stay busy through October, with peak demand around Memorial Day, July 4, and Labor Day. Higher-elevation Forest Service sites in the Wasatch can open late and close early because of lingering snow and short mountain summers. Summer days are hot and dry on the valley floor and noticeably cooler at Wolf Creek elevations above Eden. Afternoon thunderstorms are common in July and August, and fire restrictions are frequently in place at Willard Bay and nearby state and federal lands during dry stretches. Bald eagles gather at Willard Bay through the winter months, adding a cold-season wildlife draw. Fall brings cool nights, aspen color in the higher elevations, and lighter crowds after Labor Day. Winter shifts the focus to skiing and ice fishing. Mantua Waterfront RV Resort operates year round, while state-park campground loops at Willard Bay run Easter weekend through October 31.

Valley-floor RV parks generally offer full hookups, showers, laundry, and level gravel or paved pads. The Willow Creek loop at Willard Bay State Park mixes tent and RV-friendly sites with beach access, playgrounds, restrooms, and hot showers. Some sites sit within about 100 feet of the water. Bug pressure at Willard Bay can be heavy from late spring into midsummer, and the park operates on set daily hours with no in-and-out access late at night. Interstate noise carries at the bay-side loops. Expect large day-to-night temperature swings year round in this part of Utah, especially at Wolf Creek's higher elevation. Layers, plenty of water, and shade or an awning help in summer. Cell coverage is generally reliable along the I-15 and Highway 89 corridors and spottier in the canyons and mountain campgrounds above Ogden Valley.
