Campgrounds and RV parks near Hartford Village, VT

Hartford Village sits in Vermont's Upper Valley along the Connecticut River, minutes from White River Junction and the villages of Quechee and Woodstock. RV travelers use it as a hub for state parks, private resort-style campgrounds, and access into New Hampshire across the river. The area mixes forested river valleys with the granite peak of Mount Ascutney to the south. Close-in options range from full-hookup private resorts to rustic state park camping. Quechee / Pine Valley KOA Holiday sits just off Route 4 with pull-through and back-in RV sites, cabins, and a swimming pool. Quechee State Park Camping, built around Vermont's deepest gorge, offers tent and RV sites and lean-tos without hookups but with a dump station. Mount Ascutney State Park adds wooded sites at the base of a 3,144-foot monadnock, and Mascoma Lake Campground by Modern America Campgrounds and Rest N Nest Campground round out family-friendly private options within a short drive. Most destinations are reachable via I-89, I-91, and US Route 4, keeping day trips manageable for renters basing here for a week.

Vermont State Parks, including Quechee and Mount Ascutney, use a single reservation system. Sites can be booked up to 11 months in advance on a rolling daily basis. Reservations made more than seven days ahead require a two-night minimum, and one-night stays are allowed within seven days of arrival. Bookings can be made online through the Vermont State Parks reservation site or by calling the state reservation call center, with same-day reservations accepted until 2 p.m. Quechee / Pine Valley KOA Holiday is booked directly through the campground or the KOA reservation site. Mascoma Lake Campground and Rest N Nest Campground are booked through their operator sites. For summer weekends and foliage season, book several months out. Same-day drive-up sites at state parks are possible midweek but never guaranteed.
