Lake Chelan is the main draw. Swimming, fishing, boating, water skiing, and windsurfing are standard summer activities, with public beaches, boat launches, and non-motorized rentals available at Lake Chelan State Park. The lake stretches deep into the North Cascades, and passenger boats run up-lake to Stehekin for day trips or backcountry access. On land, the Chelan Butte and Echo Ridge trail systems offer hiking and mountain biking with lake views. The valley has a large concentration of tasting rooms and orchards for wine touring and produce stops.
