Campgrounds and RV parks near Zillah, WA

Zillah sits along Interstate 82 in the Lower Yakima Valley of central Washington, in the heart of the Rattlesnake Hills American Viticultural Area. The town is centered in a wine-growing region that runs from Union Gap east to Outlook, with elevations climbing from roughly 850 to over 3,000 feet on the surrounding ridges. The Yakima River corridor below town anchors most of the area's RV camping options. RV travelers typically base out of one of a handful of nearby parks. Sunnyside RV Park and Yakima RV Park serve travelers looking for full-hookup commercial sites along the I-82 corridor, while Circle H RV Ranch and SunTides RV Park offer additional private options closer to the city of Yakima. For a public-land alternative, Yakima Sportsman State Park sits on the Yakima River floodplain on the east side of Yakima, about a half-hour drive northwest of Zillah. The area combines vineyard touring, river access, and easy interstate logistics, making it a practical staging point for longer Pacific Northwest itineraries.

Reservations at Washington state parks are handled through a single statewide system. Sites at Yakima Sportsman State Park can be reserved online at parks.wa.gov or by calling 888-CAMPOUT, also reachable as 888-226-7688. The state system accepts bookings up to nine months in advance, and summer weekends fill quickly, so booking early is recommended. Day-use parking at Washington state parks requires a Discover Pass, though that fee is waived for vehicles registered to an overnight camping reservation. Private parks near Zillah, including Sunnyside RV Park, Yakima RV Park, Circle H RV Ranch, and SunTides RV Park, take reservations directly through their own websites or by phone. For harvest weekends and wine-trail events, book several weeks ahead, especially for full-hookup pull-through sites that accommodate larger rigs.
