Campers who plan on taking their rig into the city should note that Kelowna is a fairly congested city despite its modest size, so avoid rush hour when driving downtown. If you're looking for somewhere to park, RV parking is allowed at all metered lots in Kelowna, as long as you pay for every occupied space. Kelowna also has an excellent bus system if you want an alternative way to get around.
You'll no doubt want to visit a winery during your Kelowna motorhome rental, and one of the best in town is the winery at Mission Hill Family Estate. For over 40 years, Mission Hill has been crafting some of the finest wines in Canada from their beautiful estate in the Okanagan Valley. Visitors can take a behind-the-scenes tour and sample a selection of wine before enjoying a classy meal at the Terrace Restaurant overlooking Lake Okanagan.
Searching for the perfect spot to hit the slopes? Then spend the day at the Big White Ski Resort. Located on Big White Mountain, the highest summit in the Okanagan Highland, the Big White Ski Resort features over 2,500 acres of skiable terrain and 119 groomed trails. When you're not skiing, grab a bite to eat or go shopping in The Village.
If you'd prefer to spend your vacation visiting some of Kelowna's postcard-perfect parks, ensure you stop by Bear Creek Provincial Park. Situated on the west side of Okanagan Lake, Bear Creek Provincial Park features a 400-metre (1,300-feet) long beach where you can catch some rays and cool off in the lake. There are also 5 kilometres (3 miles) of hiking trails that run along Bear Creek through a scenic canyon.
