$$$$$Tunnel Mountain Village I is a classic frontcountry campground located within Banff National Park, about 4.5 kilometers from the town of Banff in Alberta's Canadian Rockies. Unlike its sister campgrounds nearby, Village I offers a more traditional, unserviced camping experience with 618 sites accommodating both tents and RVs, each with a fire pit for cooking and access to shared washroom buildings with toilets and showers. A central dump station is available for RV sewage disposal. Guests enjoy immediate access to hiking trails, including the popular Hoodoo Trail, which winds through the forest to a scenic lookout platform over the Bow River valley. The campground's theatre hosts Parks Canada interpretive programs throughout the summer season, and a Roam transit stop provides an easy connection into downtown Banff. Reservations through the Parks Canada system are strongly recommended, as Tunnel Mountain Village I is one of the most popular frontcountry campgrounds in Banff National Park.

The trailer was very well equipped, with lots of activities for the kids and pretty much everything we needed for the trip. 2020 Highland Ridge RV Travel TrailerThis camper was great for our trip to Banff! It was fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. We have rented in the past, where the supplies were very minimal. One didn’t even have a coffee mug… but Lacey’s had everything. We ended up bringing a lot of things we did not end up needing! Pickup / drop off was also very smooth and efficient! Will be looking for this camper the next time we decide to rent.
