Bear Creek Provincial Park is a stunning lakeside campground nestled in the Central Okanagan Basin on the west shore of Okanagan Lake, just nine kilometres off Highway 97 near Kelowna, British Columbia. The park features over 400 metres of sandy beach, making it one of the most popular summer destinations in the BC Interior. Surrounded by a mixed forest of Ponderosa pine, Douglas fir, maple, and birch, the setting offers both natural beauty and a wide range of outdoor activities. Campers can enjoy swimming, canoeing, kayaking, waterskiing, and fishing in Okanagan Lake, as well as hiking the scenic Bear Creek Canyon Trail — a one-hour loop featuring viewpoints, stairs, and creek crossings. Wildlife enthusiasts will appreciate sightings of hawks, owls, swallows, coyotes, and tree frogs throughout the park. Campsite amenities include water hookups, fire pits with firewood available, picnic tables, barbecue grills, showers, a dump station, a playground, and a boat launch for easy lake access. Interpretive programs and a Learn to Fish program for youth add a family-friendly dimension.
