Horseneck Beach State Reservation sits along approximately two miles of Atlantic coastline in Westport, Massachusetts, at the western edge of Buzzards Bay. This popular coastal destination welcomes tent campers and RV travelers alike, with pull-through sites and big rig-friendly infrastructure making it accessible for larger rigs. Campsites are equipped with water hookups, picnic tables, grills, and access to shower facilities, flush toilets, and a dump station. A playground rounds out the family-friendly amenities. Beyond the campground, the reservation offers swimming on a wide sandy beach, fishing, sailing, kayaking, and motorized boating via the nearby Gooseberry Island Public Boat Launch. Bird watching and biking are also popular throughout the reservation's natural shoreline habitat. Concessions and dishwashing stations add everyday convenience, while accessible beach wheelchairs and ADA-compliant facilities ensure the site is welcoming to all visitors. The surrounding Westport area and broader South Coast Massachusetts region provide additional dining and recreation options. Note that pets are not permitted on the reservation from April through September, and generators and alcohol are prohibited throughout the season. Reservations can be made through ReserveAmerica.
