2018 Thor Motor Coach Class A
We rented Dave’s RV for two weeks and had a great experience. The RV was clean, well-maintained, and had everything we needed for our trip. Dave was easy to communicate with, gave us a thorough walkthrough before we left, and was available if we had any questions along the way. We really appreciated how smooth and stress-free the whole process was. We’d definitely rent from Dave again and highly recommend him to others.

Stephane was a great host and I would absolutely rent from him again. We took the RV for a week long trip to Nakusp, BC and it handled the mountains flawlessly. Stephane gave clear instructions, making our fullhookup setup completely stress free. The RV was incredibly well stocked with all the necessary gear. Honestly, we could have just brought our food and been totally fine (even though we overpacked). Everything worked perfectly and kept us comfortable the entire trip. Highly recommend!

Merci encore

Towable RVs often cost less per night, while larger motorhomes are more expensive during peak season.

Do I need a special license to drive a Class A in Canada?

In Canada, most drivers only need a standard licence such as Class G (Ontario) or Class 5 (BC, Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan) to drive a Class A. Larger motorhomes or heavy fifth wheels may require extra towing awareness but rarely require a special licence. Check local regulations or confirm with your host if unsure.

Most Class A rentals in Canada are round-trip, meaning the vehicle must be returned to the pickup location. What’s the best time of year to rent a Class A in Canada?

The best time of year to rent a Class A in Canada is from June to September, when the weather is warm and campgrounds are fully open. Spring and fall are ideal for lower prices, cooler temperatures, and beautiful scenery, especially in Ontario, Québec, and the Atlantic provinces. Winter rentals are possible in some regions with heated units, though availability is limited.
