An Absolutely Wonderful Experience – Highly Recommended! We had an absolutely fantastic experience from beginning to end! The motorhome was exactly as described, well maintained, clean, comfortable, and perfectly suited for our Canadian adventure. Everything worked wonderfully, and we couldn’t have been happier. What truly made this trip exceptional, however, was our host, Steve. He is an incredibly kind, warm-hearted, helpful, and genuinely wonderful person who went above and beyond to make our journey unforgettable. His outstanding support in planning our route, sharing valuable recommendations, and helping us prepare for the trip made an enormous difference. His kindness, patience, and dedication were truly exceptional. Thanks in large part to his assistance, we enjoyed one of the most memorable and enjoyable trips we have ever taken. It is rare to meet someone who cares so much about his guests and their experience. We feel genuinely fortunate to have met Steve and are extremely grateful for everything he did for us. We wholeheartedly recommend both Steve and his motorhome without the slightest hesitation. If you are considering renting from him, you can book with complete confidence. You will not only get a great motorhome but also an outstanding host who truly cares. Five stars are simply not enough! Thank you so much, Steve, for everything. We hope to see you again someday! Warmest regards, Lothar & Ilona

Jason and Gina were excellent hosts.I don't want to say too much in case we were being spoilt but they are genuinely great people. RV was spotless, clean, cooled and full of water and petrol. We were newbies to RVing and any questions we had Jason answered quickly by what's app. Pick up and drop off were flawless and times were very flexible. Jason also dropped us back to the airport which was very handy. We would recommend hiring from Jason and Gina and he has some other trailers he rents out also.

We had a great trip in Grundy using Pete’s StarCraft trailer! Pete was very helpful getting us all setup and the trailer worked perfect for us.

Peter was easy to communicate with, very thorough in explaining to us who had never used a camper trailer before, how to use the the features and how to properly set up and maintain the trailer. He was flexible for pick up and drop off of the trailer which was greatly considerate for us since we had a slight change in our plans where we had to return early for work but gave us the time to return the trailer after our workday. I would 10/10 rent from him again!

Frequently asked questions about renting an RV in Pelham, ON
How much does it cost to rent an RV in Pelham, ON?
An RV rental in Pelham is one of the most affordable ways to explore the Niagara Region. On RVezy, towable trailers average around $120 to $160 CAD per night and motorhomes around $200 to $275 CAD per night, with budget-friendly listings starting near $75 CAD. Many hosts offer 10 to 20% discounts on weekly or monthly bookings, which adds up fast for a Niagara wine-country getaway. To find a cheap RV rental Pelham travellers love, filter by price, book midweek, and consider shoulder months like May or September when rates dip. Pro tip: pairing a trailer rental with a seasonal site at a nearby park like Sherkston Shores often costs less than a Niagara Falls hotel and sleeps the whole family.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Pelham%2C%20OntarioWhat licence do I need to rent an RV in Pelham, Ontario?
Good news, a standard Ontario G class driver's licence is all you need to rent an RV in Pelham for almost every motorhome, campervan or travel trailer on RVezy. There is no special RV endorsement or commercial licence required in Ontario for personal-use recreational vehicles. You will need to be 25 or older to be an approved driver on RVezy, and your ID and licence are verified right inside the platform during booking, so there is no paperwork at pickup. Visiting from outside Canada? Bring your home licence plus an International Driving Permit. That's it, you are cleared to roll toward Niagara Falls, Short Hills Provincial Park, or wine country.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039008774-Understanding-approved-driver-requirementsIs my RV rental in Pelham protected if something goes wrong?
Yes, every booking on RVezy includes a renter protection plan plus 24/7 roadside assistance, so you can rent an RV in Pelham with real peace of mind. The protection plan covers most damage to the vehicle during your trip, which removes the biggest worry first-time renters have. During checkout you choose the coverage level that fits your trip, with higher tiers offering lower deductibles and broader protection. Coverage is purpose-built for peer-to-peer RV rentals and is honoured across Ontario, including the busy QEW corridor between Pelham and Niagara Falls. Pro tip: review the protection options before you confirm, it takes two minutes and locks in your confidence for the whole trip.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/34008759079835-RVezy-renter-protection-plans-in-detailWhat's the cancellation policy if my Pelham RV trip plans change?
Plans change, and RVezy makes that easy. Cancellation terms are set by RVezy, not individual hosts, and they include a grace period after booking where you can cancel for a full refund. After that window, refund amounts depend on how far out you cancel relative to your trip start date. You will see the exact terms applied to your trip during checkout and inside your RVezy dashboard, so nothing is hidden, and if a host ever cancels on you, RVezy provides a full refund or rebooking credit. Pro tip: book earlier rather than later for popular summer weekends near Pelham and Niagara Falls, you will lock in better pricing and still have flexibility within the grace period.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360037736674-Understanding-the-cancellation-policy-for-guestsCan I bring my dog on a pet-friendly RV rental in Pelham?
Absolutely, plenty of pet-friendly RV rental Pelham hosts welcome dogs and cats, and you can filter listings by Pet-Friendly to see them instantly. Once you have picked a rig, message the host through the listing to confirm the number and size of pets, any cleaning fees, and tips for their specific RV. Pelham and the surrounding Niagara Region are very dog-friendly: Short Hills Provincial Park has leashed-dog trails minutes from town, the Steve Bauer Trail in Fonthill is a flat, shady walk, and many wineries along the Niagara Benchlands have patios where pups are welcome. Pro tip: pack a collapsible water bowl, summer afternoons here can reach the high 20s Celsius and the trails get warm.
ontarioparks.ca/park/shorthillsCan the RV be delivered to my campground or driveway in Pelham?
Yes, RV delivery Pelham is one of the most popular add-ons on RVezy, especially for first-time renters. Many local hosts will tow or drive the RV right to your campsite, set it up, level it, connect hookups, and walk you through every system before they leave. That means no highway driving on the QEW, no backing into a tight site, and no learning curve, you just step inside and start your trip. Popular delivery destinations include Sherkston Shores, Bissell's Hideaway Resort, Niagara Falls KOA Holiday, and private cottage driveways across the Niagara Peninsula. Delivery fees are set by each host based on distance, and you will see the exact cost on your booking estimate before you confirm.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Pelham%2C%20OntarioHow far can I drive on a Pelham RV trip, and is unlimited mileage available?
You have plenty of range. Many Pelham hosts offer RV rental with unlimited mileage, and others include a generous daily allowance, usually 200 to 400 km per day, with a small per-kilometre fee after that. Both options are clearly shown on each listing and on your booking estimate, no surprises. From Pelham you are well placed for a Niagara road trip: Niagara Falls is about 25 km away, Niagara-on-the-Lake is roughly 35 km, Toronto sits about 130 km north along the QEW, and Sandbanks Provincial Park is about 300 km east. Pro tip: if you are planning a longer loop through Prince Edward County or Algonquin, filter for unlimited-mileage listings to keep your budget predictable.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Pelham%2C%20OntarioWhere are the best campgrounds near Pelham for RV camping?
You're spoiled for choice. Some of the best campgrounds near Pelham include Sun Retreats Sherkston Shores on Lake Erie (about 25 km south, with a private beach and full hookups), Bissell's Hideaway Resort in Ridgeville (right in Pelham, with a lake and pool), Niagara Falls KOA Holiday near the falls (full-service sites, about 25 km east), and Short Hills Provincial Park trails just outside town for day use. For RV camping Pelham travellers also love Campark Resorts in Niagara Falls, which has water slides and family activities. Pro tip: book Sherkston and Bissell's Hideaway for summer weekends as early as January, the prime lakeside and pull-through sites sell out months in advance.
ontarioparks.ca/park/shorthillsWhen is the best time of year to rent an RV in Pelham?
The sweet spot for a Pelham RV trip is late May through early October, when daytime highs sit between 20°C and 28°C and most Niagara Region campgrounds are fully open. July and August are peak, perfect for Sherkston Shores beach days and Niagara wine tours, but also busiest. June and September are the local insider's pick: warm days, cool nights around 12-15°C, fewer crowds, and lower nightly rates. Fall colours on the Niagara Escarpment peak in mid-October, and that's also Niagara Wine Festival season. Winter rentals are limited because most campgrounds close, though a few four-season hosts cater to ice-wine tours and Niagara Falls Winter Festival of Lights visitors.
climate.weather.gc.ca/climate_normals/results_1991_2020_e.html?searchType=stnName&txtStationName=st+catharines&searchMethod=contains&txtCentralLatMin=0&txtCentralLatSec=0&txtCentralLongMin=0&txtCentralLongSec=0&stnID=4683&dispBack=0I've never driven an RV before. Will I be okay renting one in Pelham?
Yes, and most renters in Pelham are first-timers. Every RVezy booking starts with a thorough walkthrough at pickup, your host will show you how to operate the slide-outs, water system, propane, generator, awning, and brakes before you leave the driveway. If you're nervous about size, start with a smaller Class C motorhome or a 20-25 foot travel trailer, both handle easily on Regional Road 20 and the QEW. Even better, ask your host about delivery so you skip driving entirely. Pro tip for first time renting an RV in the Niagara Region: do a practice loop through quiet Fonthill side streets before heading toward Niagara Falls traffic, ten minutes of practice makes a huge difference in confidence.
ontario.ca/document/official-mto-drivers-handbookWhat happens if my RV breaks down during my Pelham trip?
You are never on your own. Every RVezy rental includes 24/7 roadside assistance as part of the protection plan, so help is one phone call away whether you are in downtown Fonthill, parked at Bissell's Hideaway, or driving the QEW toward Niagara Falls. Roadside covers common issues like flat tires, dead batteries, lockouts, and towing to the nearest qualified service. Your host is also reachable through the RVezy app for quick troubleshooting, and RVezy customer support is available before, during, and after every trip. Pro tip: save the RVezy support number and your host's contact in your phone before you leave Pelham, and snap a photo of the RV's VIN and licence plate at pickup for faster service.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/34008759079835-RVezy-renter-protection-plans-in-detailCan I take my RV across the border to the United States from Pelham?
Often, yes. Pelham is just 25 km from the Peace Bridge and Rainbow Bridge crossings into New York State, making cross-border RV road trip from Pelham itineraries like Niagara Falls NY, Letchworth State Park, or the Finger Lakes very doable. Cross-border travel needs to be approved by your host in advance because their coverage must extend to the US, so message the host before booking to confirm. Travel to Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals. Bring a valid passport for every traveller, and declare the RV at the border crossing. Pro tip: avoid Friday afternoon and Sunday evening crossings, the Peace Bridge can back up an hour or more during Niagara peak season.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039340074-Insurance-coverage-validityWhat kind of fuel economy and gas budget should I plan for?
Budgeting fuel for a Pelham RV trip is easier than most people think. Class B campervans average 9-12 L/100km, Class C motorhomes run 16-20 L/100km, and larger Class A coaches use 22-28 L/100km. Most rentals take regular gasoline, with a handful of diesel motorhomes. Ontario gas prices typically hover around $1.50-$1.65 per litre in the Niagara Region, with stations clustered along Highway 20 in Fonthill and the QEW interchanges. For a typical 3-day, 400 km loop through Niagara wine country in a Class C, expect roughly $130-$160 in fuel. Pro tip: fill up in Welland or Port Colborne where prices often run a few cents cheaper than the Niagara Falls tourist corridor.
www2.nrcan.gc.ca/eneene/sources/pripri/prices_bycity_e.cfmHow far in advance should I book campgrounds near Pelham?
Book early and you'll have your pick of the best sites. Ontario Parks releases reservations on a five-month rolling window through the Ontario Parks reservation system, so Short Hills day-use plans and nearby Long Point or Rock Point Provincial Park bookings open exactly five months before your arrival date, and prime summer weekends fill within minutes. Private parks like Sherkston Shores and Bissell's Hideaway accept bookings up to a year out and routinely sell out for July long weekend and Civic Holiday by February. For shoulder-season trips in May, September, or October, you can often grab a great site two to four weeks ahead. Pro tip: set a calendar reminder for 7:00 a.m. on your booking-open day.
ontarioparks.ca/reservationsWhat are local driving conditions like around Pelham?
Driving an RV around Pelham is refreshingly easy. The town sits on the Fonthill Kame, the highest point in the Niagara Region, with rolling country roads through orchards and vineyards that any motorhome or travel trailer handles comfortably. Regional Road 20 (Highway 20) is the main artery and connects you to the QEW in about 10 minutes. Summer weekends can be busy near Niagara Falls and Niagara-on-the-Lake, so plan to drive midmorning or early afternoon. Winter brings lake-effect snow squalls off Lake Erie between November and March, which is the main reason most RV trips here run May through October. Pro tip: watch for low-clearance bridges on older country roads, the QEW and Highway 20 are clear for all standard RV heights up to 4.1 m.
ontario.ca/page/road-conditionsWhat amenities and hookups can I expect at Pelham-area campgrounds?
You will find everything from basic to luxury. Most private parks near Pelham, including Sherkston Shores, Bissell's Hideaway, and Niagara Falls KOA, offer full-service sites with 30/50 amp electrical, water, sewer, Wi-Fi, pools, playgrounds, and on-site stores. Short Hills Provincial Park is day-use only, but nearby Ontario Parks like Long Point and Rock Point have electrical sites, comfort stations, and dump stations. Public dump stations are available at most private campgrounds for a small fee even if you are not staying overnight, and potable water fill-ups are easy to find along Highway 3 and Highway 20. Pro tip: ask your host whether the RV's fresh water tank is full at pickup, it saves a stop on day one.
ontarioparks.ca/campingWhat's actually inside the RV, beds, kitchen, bathroom, Wi-Fi?
Most rentals come fully equipped and trip-ready. A typical motorhome rental Pelham guests book sleeps 4-8 across a queen bed, bunks, and convertible dinette, with a full kitchen (stove, fridge, microwave, sink), a wet or dry bathroom with shower and toilet, climate control, and a TV. Many hosts include linens, cookware, dishes, a coffee maker, an outdoor table, camp chairs, and a barbecue, all listed under the listing's amenities tab. Wi-Fi varies, some rigs have boosters or hotspots, but Bell and Rogers LTE coverage is strong throughout Pelham and along the QEW. Pro tip: filter by Sleeps count and check the photo gallery, the layout matters more than the size for a comfortable family RV trip Pelham vacation.
crtc.gc.ca/eng/internet/internet.htmWhat add-ons and pickup options should I know about?
Hosts make it easy to customize your trip. Popular add-ons for a campervan rental Pelham or motorhome booking include delivery and setup, generator use, propane refills, bike racks, kayaks, camp chairs, BBQs, linens packages, and pet-cleaning fees, all listed with transparent pricing on each listing. Pickup and dropoff usually happen at the host's home in Fonthill, Fenwick, or Ridgeville, with most allowing a 2-3 hour window for an unhurried walkthrough. Mileage policies vary, some hosts offer unlimited, others a daily cap of 200-400 km with a small per-km fee, and you'll see the total on your booking estimate. Pro tip: bundle delivery plus a linens and kitchen pack, you'll arrive at your campsite with literally nothing to set up.
pelham.ca/en/explore-and-play/explore-and-play.aspxHow does payment and the security deposit work on RVezy?
Payment is straightforward and all handled inside the RVezy platform, no cash and no e-transfers to hosts. You pay your rental total (nightly rate, mileage, add-ons, protection, taxes, and fees) by credit card when you book, and a refundable security deposit is pre-authorized on your card before pickup. The deposit amount is shown clearly on the listing and your booking estimate, and is separate from your booking payment. As long as the RV comes back in the same condition, the hold is released after your trip. Pro tip: do a quick photo walkaround with your host at both pickup and return in Pelham, it documents the condition and ensures a smooth deposit release.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038106214-How-the-security-deposit-worksWhat's a great road trip itinerary from Pelham?
You are parked at the perfect launchpad. A classic RV road trip from Pelham starts with two nights at Sherkston Shores on Lake Erie (about 25 km), then heads to Niagara-on-the-Lake (about 35 km) for wineries and the Shaw Festival, on to Niagara Falls (about 25 km) for the falls and Clifton Hill, then loops west to Ball's Falls Conservation Area in Lincoln (about 20 km) for hiking the Bruce Trail. Want more? Add Long Point Provincial Park on Lake Erie (about 130 km west) or Sandbanks Provincial Park (about 300 km east) for sand dunes. Local insider tip: Pelham sits on the Fonthill Kame, the highest point in the Niagara Region, a great spot to kick off your trip with sweeping views.
